I am Vajira and I love my food. Luckily in my life I have had 3 ladies who are very good at cooking very healthy and fun food that will make the taste buds jump for joy. These 3 ladies are none other than, my Mom, my Younger Sister and my Wife. While being around these 3 I have also wondered into cooking however my cooking is nowhere near what my family can do. Also very recently found out that my Dad can also cook very well and that is a skill he has acquired in all the years of helping my mom. So we thought, since we all love food and cooking, why not share it with others as well. You may be an experience cook or a person who is starting out, you all can refer to our site. Here’s are 7 things we will be doing with our blog; I am sure you all will love these irrespective of whether you are an experienced chef or a just looking for a recipe for your next dinner
Well, this is a food blog and of course you’re going to find recipes in here. However all the recipes we post will be dishes we have prepared ourselves? Also these recipes we post will be dishes and food we love. These will be food we will be making over and over again as well. If we do not have love it, we will not feature the recipe in here
A recipe is good, but without instructions it will be not be perfect, so in this blog, a recipe will always be followed by step-by-step instructions. Also a picture of the final product will accompany the recipe as well. This will give every one of you an idea of how your dish would and should end up.
All of us like to learn ways that will give our dishes that extra bit of taste and also techniques that will make us do the work correctly but in a short time. So through this blog we will provide them to you. If available each recipe will include a short section of tips and techniques. So make sure to read that section before you start off
Today we all focus about the amount of calories we take in. However we all do have a pizza once in a while J. So in this blog we will make sure to include the amount of calories in each of the recipes we post. Also we will include how many people could be served through this dish.
When a cooking a new dish, we get it wrong sometimes. For us also it is the same. In this blog we will share those moments with you. Those will be fun to look at and also will give you a small learning based on the note that is included
We like to create some of our ingredients at home. This adds a little difference to the food we make. So we will be dedicating a separate section of our blog to tell you how you can create your own ingredients as well.
Food can be fund irrespective of whether you are eating it, making it or even when serving it. Also some people find cooking and baking a relaxing exercise as well. So we hope you will find it the same
So when we are not cooking, eating, preparing to cook, reading up and browsing through the world of food, I am either working or having fun. I work as an IT Business Analyst and when I am off work, I am either helping my wife (Lanka) or spending time with my daughter. If not we will travel around and take some pictures along the way.
Well then, what about my parents, they spend their time relaxing at home since they are now enjoying their retirement. They too love to travel around and visit their friends. As for my sister, She is also either busy with her work as an IT Project Manager or she is busy travelling around with friends and frequently visiting the gym.
Where ever we travel as a group or travel individually, we always on the lookout for food items that entice our taste buds. We will always ensure that once we get home, we will create that dish and share it with you all.
